Metamorphosis: Precious Metals
The nature of Dominic Harris’s medium allows him to transform wild fantasies into digital realities. In the case of Metamorphosis: Precious Metals, Harris creates butterflies that appear to be made of gold and silver. Having been seemingly rendered in these metals, these butterflies contain a fragile opulence as they playfully challenge our understanding of these materials by fluttering and shimmering across the digital canvas.
'Sometimes it is the smallest of movements that creates the greatest of impacts. I invite the viewer to collaborate in the development of the depicted scenes, and to unveil the true meaning within the artwork.'
